TeKay Designs at African Fashion Week Houston 2015

As the headline designer for African Fashion Week Houston, TeKay Designs (Kimma Wreh), a Liberian-born fashion designer and fashion industry veteran, is often referred to as the “Vera Wang of African Fashion” for creating elaborate, regal and engaging bridal couture and special occasion garments for men and women. Wreh’s designes employ sophisticated embroidery, enhanced detail and impeccable fine stitching. The fashion line has been internationally recognized in the past for its statement necklaces, previously worn by public figures such as popular Daytime TV host, Deborah Duncan (Great Day Houston), Singers Chante Moore and Angie Stone, and world renowned tennis professional, Serena Williams. The fashion show included performers such as rising star musical trio Blush, and R&B singer Shaun G of Music World Entertainment – both managed by music industry mogul, Matthew Knowles (Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Trinity 5:7), popular comedic trio The WoWo Boyz, Impande South African Dance Troupe, and Houston’s very own Live Out Loud. Popular DJ Silent Killa was in the mix for the Fashion Showcase.
